97 civic DX turbo. P28 ECU VTEC
Hey guys I have a few questions,
I have a 1997 Honda civic DX
All stock. No upgrades ecexpt for eBay turbo kit.
D16y8 block/ d16y7 head.
I have a p28 chipped VTec ECU.
I know my car is a obd2 and that ECU is obd1 VTEC.
My car is not a VTEC.
I'm trying to get a better tune on my car.
Can some one help me out in this situation?
Looks easy for some people, but its breakin my head.
Thank you.

If it's chipped, depending on what it's chipped with, it could be as easy as disabling VTEC and tuning the fuel maps/curve/etc. as needed. Can you clarify how it's chipped?

It was originally on a civic with a d16z6
I don't know much about it.
All I know is that it was on a civic with a d16z6/ VTEC.
And I know its obd1.
So in order to get it working;
I should get plug it into a computer, change the fuel and air maps; and disiable the VTEC. And get a ECU hardnes from obd2 to obd1 ?

I will take it too a dyno tunning later. But for right now I'm trying to figure out, if I can get this ECU on it . so I don't have to buy another one.

Well then yes you can use it with a jumper harness for ease of installation. I believe this is the most common/preferred method for OBD2 tuning.
