Default Exedy Stage 1

Hello H-t,

Just got a new clutch installed in my b16, was wondering what you guys feel are the proper "break in" procedures?

Have you searched? I think there is a thread somewhere on here about that. Try it out.

Your not takling about breaking in an engine right vindicator? I don't know about clutches, but just making sure your not spreading misinformation.

i used the same clutch on my car with a new flywheel and honeslty didn't break in any certain manner. just don't be clutch kicking in the first 5 minutes and i am sure you will be fine. what is your engine setup? just curious about if this is enough clutch at all is only why i ask

For the first 3-500 miles dont slip the clutch too badly, no harsh take offs and go easy when changing at high rpm's. Once the clutch is engaged then your not going to be doing any harm. Just be careful anytime the clutch plates are rubbing against each other if that makes sense?

If anything how are you supposed to wear the chatter out if you don't slip the clutch?

there should be no chatter with a stage one clutch.

if you got chatter from an Exedy stage 1 you might want to look closer for another problem? throw out bearing not properly installed or something of that nature.

i had no chatter with my stage one
