Ingtion timing problem i believe help please
Well the car is a 97 honda civic hatch dx the motor is a d15b with a z6 head. The disturbutor is a obd1 vtec dizzy with a jumper harness to allow me to run that dizzy. With the p28 ecu the car would start but then quickly die without applying gas so i had an 97 ex ecu and have been running that and the car is driveable.
When i have the gas pedal applied at a steady rpm staying in that certain rpm range the the idle seems like its going up and down. When i depress the clutch when im in first gear or any gear the car seems to buck pretty bad and then straights itself out. What could be the cause of this.
I went to my gfs dads shop and he hooked up the scanner and it seemed like everything was retarded back injectors ,ignition timing was off he said it seems like the car is running in limp mode. And suggestions guys i have adjusted the dizzy in forward and back and doesnt seem to help.

Sounds to me like your cam is advanced a gear, probably happened when you swapped cylinder heads. Pull the timing cover off and put the engine at TDC, check the timing mark on the cam gear against the marks on the crankshaft.
