injector fittiment for D-16
will 460 cc injectors from a Mazda RX& fit a D-16 Civic. Do they need modification? I found one post that indicates they are plug and play, but I want to be sure....
I need to bump this. I want to get my son some upgraded injectors - that is about the only thing we have not upgraded. I know some other injectors will work in the D16 Civic engine, but I cannot find out which ones. I have read that RX-7 injectors will work without a resistor box. Are the plugs correct or do they need to be changed? Will they even fit in the rail/intake?
Please help my ignorant self...

they are plug and play i had them in my boosted z6 made 260 at the wheels on 22lbs with stock internals but of course ran out of fuel id go bigger ... but if u need any help pm me and hey are really good injecors too
This is for my son's car. It is a '95 Civic with a D16 engine. So far we have done the following: Greddy turbo with their supplemental computer, intercooler, new fuel pump, new fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator, HE ignition. There are some other mods as well, but these are the most relevant to the engine.
He has fried the pistons twice now because the engine tends to run lean. We are right now replacing the pistons again. He has decided (and I have insisted) that it needs to be prefessionally tuned this time. We thought that upsizing the injectors might make the whole process more successful as they are still the stock injectors.
Am I off target?

Get a tune, install the new injectors, then tune again? Why exactly would he do that, other than to waste more money for an additional tuning session?
I'd say once you have the new pistons installed, get the car towed to a tuner to tune with the new (bigger) injectors so that you won't have to pay more to get tuned a second time.
