Default 1997 Civic HX coupe problem

Hello, this is what happened.

I got home from a rainy day and left my lights on after I parked for a good 8 hours and my battery died. I then, charged my battery quickly, and put it back in the car. The starter didn't crank over the flywheel, instead it just clicked a couple of times. Then I charged the battery for a longer period of time to get a descent charge. Put the battery back in the car, dash lights were normally bright, but now, the starter isnt making any noise at all!!! I checked my fuses under the dashboard as well in the engine compartment. My car is in top shape(except for the starter problem) and in stock form(no mods). Any help is appreciated.
By the way, the starter never gave me any problems nor did it sound sluggish in the past.

Thank you!

Does the car start if it was properly jumped with another car battery?

No it does not. I forgot to mention that the car is a 5 speed. Even after I pop start the car, and try to engage the starter, it does not work. I dont like the grinding noise, but I had to test it lol.
