when i turn the key to start , my car makes fast clicking sound while the dash lights flicker. my lights. stereo, clock all work.

i cleaned the battery terminals and made sure my connections to the starteer were solid and it still does it. i even gave the starter solenoid a few taps with a screwdriver cuz i heard it can get stuck

o think my battery might just be due , but it's weird cuz i never left my lights on and all the accessories work

 

also jump starting it from another car wouldnt work, but push starting it did

aaaannnnd my charging syst is good cuz it runs with 12.6 vots

oh right.....damn this is an old one

it was a bad battery....it would charge, it just wouldnt hold the charge.
so like after 5 hours of sitting the charge would be way low and the starter would be grabbing all the amps from it, but not enough to crank

thats why my accessories work, not the starter
