Possible Starter Problem
My car recently sat for about 3 weeks and when I went to start it, it was dead. I jumped it and then charged the battery. Since then, the car is having a problem starting. I checked the battery voltage and it reads about 12.5, and the alternator is reading about 14.4. When I try to strart the car it cranks but then slows down like the battery is dead. But if I come back in a few minutes, it will start (sometimes).
Please help, I don't want to go and just buy a starter and have that not be it. Thanks

Re: (Bandit74)
The battery is a couple years old, but still shows a good charge. The starter is the orginal and it is a 96 with 105,000 on it. Even if i take it for a spin and then try to restart it, it does not do anything constantly, sometimes it will restart, other times it won't. Even the next morning is a hit or miss.
