My prelude 1996. Vtech has a ticking sound coming from the engine head
I recently started my car but it koched out coz there wasn't enough oil in the engine. So I changed the main and rod bearings, oil filter and engine oil coz this was the main problem. However, I also checked my cam and they where ok. But I still have that ticking sound coming from the head. I talked to mecanic who told me that this ticking sound is coused by either the lifters or valves being lose. So now how do I know what's wrong and what do I have to do to solve my auto problem?
And I thought I cant spell, Yes you need a valve ajustment You can do It your self. It will take you no more then 2 hours Unless you have no idea How to work on cars...
^^^ Valve adjustment should do the trick.. another thing that can help is a little thicker oil.. but dont over do it lol
I have never adjusted valves before and I would like to do it myself. Can any one that knows tell me how to adjust the valves step by step.
Use the search feature in the upper right or search on Google and you will find tons of write-ups on how to DIY valve adjustments.
