Why did you mount the pump upside down? I placed mine upright on the Left rear shock area, as high as possible to avoid damage.

Yeah I run the weldon 2025. These pump are sucker stlye pumps, unlike the aeromotive pums they work upside down or up right. they dont rely on gravity for the fuel ( thats why i bought mine). Theres really no cons the way you have it except it might get caught on somthing if its to low.

i havent used the sx, but as for customer service, i had an issue with the pump, and when i called weldon to fix, jim craig gave me his personal cell #, told me who to go to to get parts, gave me wholesale on the parts, and when they came in, walked me through fixing the pump.

their pumps are bad ***, their customer service is top notch.

mikey, did you by any chance break the little plastic screws on the sides of the top of the pump that hold the contacts in?

wha are these weldon pumps with say 1600cc or even the new ID2000's good for power wise? Are these pumps better than say two bosch 044's?

no i actually didnt vent the tank properly, and the pump was caving the tank in. and broke the drive coupler. or the lovejoy. it is a coupler between the pump motor and pump drive. it is a fuse. and is designed to do that. call weldon, ask for jim craig. see what he says.

from weldons site: this is the db2015a. the 2025 and 2035 flow more and make moew power.

Maximum HP:
1000 hp @ 14V EFI (500 hp on Methanol)
1050 hp @14V carb (525 hp on Methanol) GPH/PSI Range:
85-115 GPH / 0-160 PSI

i dont think a 100 base is out of the question.

i personally dont like running 2 pumps. but people use it and have made it work.

We got hooked up with SX Performance fuel systems and have had awesome results since the changover. Not that Walbro was bad, but now we have some headroom for future development where we were near the end of the capacity of the old pump.

http://www.sx-performance.com/

The fuel cell is right behind the passenger headlight and the fuel rail is centered just behind the radiator so everything is close and easy to take care of.
