im loosing a lot of oil!!!!
i jacked up my car and took a look under neath. and oil is leaking and looks like it sprayed allllllll of the back of my engine. i looked and looked, i cant figure out where its coming from.. it looked like it was leaking from the oil filter, but its on good, and i dont think that would cause the oild to be everywhere, but with pressure i dont know. any ideas?
i suspect
1. oil pan gasket" i coulda hit something against it from the road"
2. my oil filter might not have that rubber ring on it.
3. my o ring on my distributor is leaking a little bit, too but i dont think thats the problem
4. and finally my head gasket
which one of these could cause oil to be everywhere on the back of my engine?
im hoping there isnt a crack
thanks in advance

A leak from the distributor "o" ring can reach all the way the pan and tranny. If you have vtec engine, the solenoid's gasket can leak behind the motor too.
There are a few possibilities... rear main seal (by flywheel/clutch), crank seal or any of the other seals behind the timing belt cover. Oil pan can also be listed, but a leak from there wouldn't go upwards on the back of the engine.
Clean and degrease the motor. Buy a can of degreaser for about $5 or 6 dollars, protect the distributor and alternator, spray the engine... lift the car and spray some from under the car, reaching the back of the engine and tranny. Let it soak for 10~15 minutes, scrub it a little if you can, rinse with water (warm/hot water is best and helps dissolve oil). Allow it to dry and now you have a fresh start to see where the leak is coming from.

chk the oil pressure sending unit......also the oil filter cooler housing o-ring if it has one
you should clean it up and see if leak is coming above oil pan if it is ,, it is not the oil pan gasket leaking..

Gian is right. if anyone ever has a problem with finding an oil leak, the best bet is to wipe down the entire surface area around the suspected places really well and all the oil that is leaking and turn the car on and look for any immediate oil leakage, then take the car for a small drive, like down the neighborhood and back. and see if the oil has come back, and where from. This can help narrow the problems down.
It is a good practice of diagnosing a problem by doing maintenance, it is NOT a waste of money, but while searching for a problem, you're taking care of things that are part of a list of things that have to be looked on every now and then.
So, good luck finding it!!
all the gaskets.the head gasket too?
i got the degreeser. i wont have time to search today, so im just keeping oil in it.
im also thinking, that when my uncle put on my new filter, he didnt take off the old ones rubber ring, oil could be shooting out cause theres two ruber rings letting pressure escape n stuff. ill check it out though

The F22B2 don't have the oil cooler like the H22s; unless, I'm wrong. I've had the F22B1 before my H and I've never seen a oil cooler on my B1.
dude, i think your totally right, im @ work with no jack, its hard to see it, but i shined a light in between the IM and i seen a some drips!! they dropped right on top of the oil filter, how much was the oil pressure sending unit???
i hope thats the problem, it does this everyday now , i go through more oil than gas, its went through almost all the oil in two weeks
I installed from under car, just drive up on about 3 - 2x4's. There will be a rubber boot on plug. I had to break it off as it had dried rock hard. You will need to remove oil filter, but there is no need to drain oil.
