Rsx type s or 2000 si
Hello, i have recently sold my type s for an completely stock 2000 electric blue si with 68k on it. I have wanted this car for quite some time but feel myself regretting the decision. Please give me your input another rsx over the current si or any other inputs are greatly appreciated.
Um... It is your decision so why would our input make any difference? And if you have already sold your Type S, technically our input wouldn't matter anyway. BUT...
If you do want my input, here it is:
Although performance and suspension parts on your Si will be cheaper (and to many better), K series is the new thing. B series will be phased out within years and K series motors will be so abundant and popular than soon all K series parts will be just as cheap as B series parts once were. Some people claim the chassis and suspension design on the EM1 is better than that of the RSX but if you don't actually fully track the car will that really matter to you? I opted for my EP3 over an EM1 because I knew K series stuff would be more affordable in a couple of years (which is how long it would take before I paid it off and had money anyway). My vote is for K series. It is a very technologically advanced motor and will bring good things in the years to come.
Let alone the Type S look way better than an EM1 Si. Haha.

thats like going backwards, i hope you sold the rsx for more then what you're paying for the si. The older si's are nice but once you drive any K car you wont want to go back to any B car. RSX would kill the Si.
just make sure you do everything in gods creation to make your EM1 thief-proof. Si's are super rare nowadays and that gives theives more of a reason to take what doesn't belong to them.
I owned 2 civics prior to my RSX and the only reason why i made such a big switch was because I wanted to treat myself. But i do miss my civics though!
Don't let anybody decide because dont forget, it's you thats gonna be driving the car in the end

Yes i agree for the most part that the si was a down grade. Going from a k20 to a b16 = down grade 6 speed to a 5 speed = down grade i guess the only positive was the electric blue haha but i appriciate everyone input thus far.
I would boost the stock B16 or just change out the bottom end and call it a day. The lack of torque is all I don't like about the EM1's. I have had a couple and I think they are overall better than the newer gen of heavier Hondas.
I have the solution that will solve you dilemma....
sell the b16, tranny and all, buy the k20a2, throw that in your Si and your golden. lol.
Best of both worlds.
I know how you feel though, I sold my turbo d16y8 sedan for an tsx 6mt. The tsx is nice and luxurious but i really miss the rawness of my civic. DBW and traction control sucks.
