K series . . .. the future
juss a little suggestion to read up on the latest honda tuning magazine. they have an article on the new k series engine compared to the old b-series engines. from what i read, i think there's a lotta potential in the type s motor, not so much in the crv and base rsx motor. from their pics the type s motor is built very nicely but the base rsx didnt look too good performance wise. it sure doesnt match to the type s like the ls matches to the gsr. juss a bit of my ramblings. thanks for the time

Re: K series . . .. the future (vpc)
Why didnt they go ahead and do a 2.4 CRV bottom and RSX-S head and put that in an 2k2 Si??? Its still cool what they did it was only time before it was going to be done.

Any performance #'s yet from their current Si hybrid? Dyno, 1/4, etc.?

Re: K series . . .. the future (blykins)
the crv motor gets its 2.4 displacement bump from lengthening its stroke. this results in an oversquare engine and if you put an rsx-s head on and tried to rev it to 8k, the piston speeds would exceed that of a S2000! so if u plan on doing that, u better seriously build up your bottom end.

you beat me to it,...
i was just gonna post a similar topic,..
i'm as we speak reading on the Kseries motors
off the same Honda Tuning mag, and all i can
say i'm am pretty happy so far with what i'm reading,...
i'll admit that i was one of those millions that most
lilkely thought the performance scene was dead when the
01 coupes came out,...and stuff, but man know that i've
seen soemone Type S done for the road course, and now
reading this, article, i'm surprising myself to say that
i am seriously considering buying one of these rides with
the Kseries powerplant, just because of the possibilties and
window oppourtunities written in this article,.....

yea, in terms of engines honda's really doin fine. but the coupes and sedans wont be doing to well in form of swaps cuz they still use the d series engine and i bet mounts will probly be very s'pensive

hasport will have mounts ready by SEMA in November for coupes and sedans. Its not the cost of the mounts that is a concern...its the cost of the swaps that are
