Default Koni or Bilstein?

I own a 98 Honda Civic LX and, I was wondering if any of you guys could help me decide on wich shocks to get? I was either going to buy Bilstein HD shocks or Koni's. I am a daily driver and always drive the rough Ohio back roads. Any help is appreciated!

If you have the money i would say the koni yellows are the great . i have them on my civic which is pretty much sittin on the ground and the ride quality, i think, is as good as stock if not better. i can hug turns going so fast i make up all the time i lose on the straights cause of the amazing handling. plus they are soooo easy to adjust with the **** they give you .

I haven't had experiences with Bilstein...but I do love my Koni Yellows. No complaints here.

I got Koni yellows...no complaints here. Awesome handling and easy adjustablility.

AGX I've heard only warrants/reccomends a 1.5-1.8 drop...so if you are too low, they wont guarantee it will work as well.

for the price of yellow koni... mind as well get TEIN NA. I have both... by far, TEIN is superior to KONI.

I can't say much about Koni's, but you can read about my Bilstein HD experience here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=258274

Cliff notes: Bilstein HD's are meant for a stock or slightly lower ride height. They're simply too long if you really want an aggressive drop. If you must go with bilsteins, then apparantley you need to get rear LCA's from an ITR, and run the Bilstein "SP" shocks, which are only made for the ITR apparantley (the SP's are shorter).

I like my bilsteins, but if I had it to do over again, I would go with the Koni's purely because I would be able to go a little lower with my car.

If you're going to lower your car 2in or lower get the neuspeed koni yellows. They have a shorter shaft that allows for more wheel travel before bottoming out.

I agree.

Although Bilstein does make adjustable damper/spring setups for EK/EG's in japan. I dont know how readily availible they are here or how much they cost.

I went with the Konis instead.
