AGX's for Civic's are 4-way, not 8-way. Regardless, I love my KYB's. For the money, best shock out there for our cars. Koni Yellows are great, but you're gonna pay.
Worst shocks I ever owned, Tok's. Illuma 2 performance is ok (not as good as AGX) but they're $30 more each. I can't say enough BAD things about Tok Blues.

the kyb fronts are 4 way and the rears are 8 way. I'd say if you're not going lower than 1.5" get the kyb's. They won't warranty the shock if lowered more than that. HTH. I'm sure you could use a sportline/neuspeed sport though without difficulty.

I had Tok Blues on my this car, my Civic. The LF was blown within 4 months and they were all blown within 8 months. Granted, the roads around NYC are tough on suspensions, but gimme a freakin' break. I could have gotten more life and generally the same performance out of a set of Sears shocks for $10 each. Blues ARE NOT performance shocks, they shouldn't be marketed that way.
I had Illuma II's on my 2nd Gen RX-7. They compare well to the KYB AGX's, but they're $30-$40 more, each. Not even close to being worth it.
My KYB's have been awesome. There are better shocks out there, but not for $85 each.

Konis yellows are awesome if you are alright with spending $500+. I have them on my Civic with Integra Pro-Kit springs and they work extremely well!

I have the koni yellow with no complaints, and there not 4way adjustable, they have a dial on top you just turn to whatever setting, theres no markers and it doesn't click (I think you can turn the **** 1.5 full turns max, so you just have to play with it to get the right setting). They also have different perch heights to set them too.
I've also heard good things about KYB, so if you wanna save some money this is the way to go.

Geez, a lot more people are recommending the AGX's over Koni Yellows than they used to. I asked this very same question about five months ago and got nothing, but about 20 replies with Koni Yellows only. What's the story? Are the Yellows not as good as they used to be? Why AGX over Yellows?
