Im doing a tranny swap soon and i just want to make sure if the z6 tranny will go right into the y8 with no problem. thanks

i think you need to swap your y8 transmission mount on your z6 transmission

 

i would need the rear and front tranny mount right??

 

i was assuming that he has a 96-2000 ex and is just going to put a z6 in place of his y8.

any parts that he needs from the y8 should already be there for his pickings, so anything needed to be swapped over shouldnt be an issue.

i think you have to swap the speed sensors out as well (use the y8 one)

anything from the z6 tranny that wont work, try the y8.

shouldnt have any issues

 

yeah im going to do a auto to manual tranny swap and i have a y8 and im putting a z6 tranny in there. just to clarify things. i would need to change the sensor?? not to sure if i have to change that.
