Which tranny has smaller gears z6 or y8?
Did a search.... Just wanting to know if there is a difference and which one has the smaller gears.. d16z6 (92-95) or d16y8 (96-00).

they have identical gear ratios
however, if you're looking for a replacement/upgrade tranny, i'd recommend the y8. the shift forks are stronger as opposed to the z6, and are less prone to bend/brake.
i myself have purchased a z6 tranny for my swap. its not like i go around trying to bend the fork anyway.
