impossible idle problem is back
so my erratic idle problem is back... it just goes up and down up and down etc... i fixed it before by screwing in the white thing inside the fast idle valve and that worked for a while and now the damn problem is back.... there are no vacc. leaks the tps, map, iacv all test out good... wat could it be? ant suggestions? ... the car is a 92 civic lx (4door) d15b~auto trans. any help would be appreciated... thanks
idk ima check it out tomorrow morning i just got back from a meet... thats the lower one right? i bled the **** out of the cooling system... yea there is but for the vss
ok so there no suction coming from that lower port when the car is warmed up... but i tried covering the top one which im guessing is for the iacv and the idle smoothed out a lil bit when i covered it so does that mean anything?
I had this problem with mine. If you don't mind, you can bypass the IACV. Only do this if you cover the IACV port(top) and the problem goes away. If so than get some gasket material, and re-cut yourself a gasket without the port for IACV. This isn't recommended for cars that run extra power such as large stereos or other electrics.
I did this on mine and I haven't had a problem since. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Im having the same **** going on too. Except i havent messed with it. LoL. The only diffirence is sometime my idle stays at 1,000-1,500. But stuck . Doesnt surge up and down. And it wont comedown unless i rev the motor, then it will drop.Which is weird and dont know what to check for this one. Sorry not trying to thread jack either...
