Icon2 help with alt. in RHD rex?

help? how do i take an alternator out of a rhd crx any suggestions iv got it all unbolted and feels like it resting on a slip pin i think i unbolted it all the way but it isnt coming out?

did you take out the bolt at the bottom that the alternator pivots on?

sometimes they can get pretty seized up in there. try hitting it with some pb blaster and/or wd-40 and then smack the end of it with a hammer. dont go nuts though cause you dont want to mushroom the threads. once its out a little you should be able to hit the lip of the back of the bolt and then get it the rest of the way out that way. on my d-series it was so badly seized my friend had to cut the bish out with an oxy-acetylene torch

k i just tryed its like not moving what side do i hit the big end that sticks out or do i hit the end thats inside im not really too sure? ur awesome thanks for any of your help......

once you get the nut off you have to tap the bolt out by hitting the threads. you wanna be careful so as not to muff up the threads though.

cut that bitch with a grinder, take the alternator off, go buy a new screw/bolt....end of story

you can get to that bolt easyer from under neath the car
