Hey guys I guess I need some input on some mods to my setup I know that I can upgrade the downpipe and get a bigger turbo and what not but don’t really want to mess with that at the moment. So what are some good upgrades I can do to my setup?

18g greddy -12psi
Greddy downpipe
Vortech Bov
440dsm Injectors
Skunk2 intake manifold
2’5in crushed bent exhaust/w twin loop muffler
Intercooler is in pretty bad shape.

Right now im making 220 on a dynamic dyno, I was going to pick up a thermal 3in exhaust this weekend. Should I get another tune?

 

Just a 3 inch exhaust will help you make more power.

 

cams, 18psi of boost or whatever gets your injectors close to maxed out.

 

3 inch exhaust and bump up the boost to like 15psi... make sure you stay on top of your injector duty cycle...

everythign else is gonna require a new turbo or manifold

 

would a skunk2 throttle body help? we tried pushing more boost but my tuner told me anything about 12 psi was not efficient. we went to 14psi and it was giving me 5 more whp

 

stock fuel pressure you'd probably start to run the injectors too much around 15-17 psi or just about 300hp. id just check the afrs and spark plugs after u swap the exhaust to 3". if you are running leaner than like 12.2:1 id go for a lil retune

 

it will not help. theres too much backpressure on that turbo with your exhaust setup.

 

If i were to get cams, wouldnt i need valves and retainers?i also have a walboro fuel pump

 

Cams and throttlebodies are last, and even then, with a larger turbo than what you have. Better downpipe, exhaust, larger injectors w/ a new tune would be needed.

You'll need to figure out what your ultimate use and power goals are before we can speculate any further. What are you trying to with this car?

how much torque did you make at 12psi?

You should replace the greddy DP... you will net about 15whp from that and that crush bent exhaust is also a restriction. It flows like a 2.25 incher. Get a manderel bent exhaust and a better DP.. you will pick up about 15-25 hp easily.

 

i was making 205 trq. yea hopefully ill pick up an exshust this week

 

get the dp from kteller and do the thermal 3", go back for a retune and turn up the boost untill you cant make any more power

 

A 3" exhaust or even a Cutout will help alot.
