I pulled an A4 motor from my '99 lude about two years ago. It was supposed to back in right away, but it turned into a side project and is just about to go back in. What would you recommend doing with the old gas? Should I dump a bottle of seafoam in it, or do I have to siphon it all out? What about the filter and that, do they need to be replaced? The other lines, tank,...........
I would take the tank completely off and dump the old fuel + clean the insides. No need to really worry about the lines. Get a new fuel filter, I would also get a new fuel pump while you have everything apart.
If there is not too much gas left, you can put some HEET in the tank and fill it up with premium. If there is a bunch of gas in there, then siphon some out first. Change your fuel filter after you run it if you want to.
My prelude sat for a couple years and that's what I did. No problems with the fuel pump so no need to change it out.
