having a small problem just now. for some reason out of the blue my main beam (normal lights) don't seem to work anymore. everything else still working i.e full beam and side lights.

you guys got any idea what could be the prob. i've checked everything i can think of. but everything seems to be fine. that is the bulbs and the fuses are in full working order.

i was thinking it may be the switch in the car thats not working anymore.

any ideas would be good.

get a multimeter and start testing at the bulb harness. next I would check at the stalk. and double check the fuses

 

It's more than likely a bad light switch on the steering column. You can either replace it or disassemble the switch and clean the contacts.

 

is this something that you can get a local autozone or does it have to be orderd by honda

i was thinking it could be something like this. i'll give the column a stirp down 2mrw before my work and see what i can do.

i'll try get a mater and check the wires as well see what turns up.

i wouldnt trust auto zone on this kind of stuff, you may be able to find a used one, or check honda and see.

 

cool well as i'm from the UK i don't have auto zone so if something need replaced i'll pop down to honda.

 

Hey guys got them working again. striped it all down and cleaned everything out. checked everything over again and once i had put it all back together it was working. i think cleaning it out did the job.
