Downfalls/limits of internal wastegate? (specifically GT3071)
I'm familiar with the "typical" reasons why internal wastegates fall short compared to external wg setups (boost creep, etc). But how does the GT3071 internal wg design hold up? Does spool time or horsepower per boost change between the two designs (external vs internal)? I really like the simplicity and clean look of an internal design which is why i'm asking. Horsepower goals are 400-450whp going on a 10:1cr 85mm lsv-tec.

get the 60mm turbine version....there are GT housings that have internal gates for the 30 and 35 series...that would be the one you would want if you really wanted an internal gate
the gt3071 with the internal gate has a different turbine wheel than the standard GT3071 & 76 (56mm vs 60mm)

Is that because the internal gated 3071 is a T25? Or is that available with a T3 also?
I'm asking because a buddy has a 3071 T25 .84? internally gated turbo and wants to go to a t3 with internal gate. If there is such a thing.
