I'm confused, please show me what oil pan I need!
So I've decided to replace the oil pan in my 96 EX Civic Coupe. The engine block says D16Y8, it is an auto tranny, What oil pan do I need? There are two styles I've seen, and I keep reading contradictory info on which one will fit. Examples of the two are listed below. Please help me pick one! Thanks!

I just compared each to the dealership pictures,. seems the Y7 oil pan is teh weird one, which makes sense because the exhaust manifold has the catalytic converter directly bolt onto it
so again, buy the black one.

I seem to recall their being an oil pan gasket issue with trying to run a Y7 oil pan on a Y8 or vice versa, IIRC it centered around the Y8 using kind of a weird gasket compared to everything else.

Long story, but it needs to be changed, bolt is FUBAR.
So half are saying get the black one, half are saying get #2...Can anyone say fror sure? The sure look different to me.

well I just confirmed that a d16y7 oil pan has a BOLT on baffle inside, so look for that i guesss. oil pan gaskets are pan specific as well
I havent confirmed which is which though just from looking at the outside
