A neptune authorized dealer can tune a car on neptune & burn the data to an eprom chip.
Same concept for eCtune dealers.

Not at all. Most are fine with what's out there and don't know any better.

I will even completely stop tuning cars with crome if you make me a neptune dealer. I am doing two cars tomorrow.

Tomdata, if you make money tuning cars, and can afford a dyno (do you have one?), you can afford the Neptune dealer fees. Sheesh.

Cheapasses these days..

No need for personal attacks. Especially if you don't know me or where/why I tune cars.

For the record I do not tune cars full time... I do not own a dyno I rent one locally whenever necessary. Most of the cars I tune get tuned on the street. Everyone in SoCal knows if you want the absolute best in the business locally you go to Church's Automotive. I don't try to compete for the top of the market because honestly I know that I can't. Sean Church has tuned waaayyyy more cars than me and he tunes cars full time. Although I have never met the man personally I have heard nothing but excellent things about him. I regularly advise people locally looking for the best of the best and wanting to make maximum power to go to Church's. My market is more of the DIY/backyard guys that are on a tight budget. I don't make enough money tuning to concern anyone (including the IRS). I do this for fun and a little extra cash. The average turbo car I tune makes no more than 350WHP and is some kids street/track car that he has all of his hopes and dreams tied up in. For people with high dollar full race cars looking to make lots and lots of power I try to stay away because I don't want the liabilty. I have to personally know the person to tune any car that I expect to make over 500WHP otherwise I don't do it. I don't need the stress in my life of having someones $10,000 motor blow up and then have them blame me for it. **We all know the first person to get blamed is the tuner**

Thanks for your 2 cents though

BTW.. I challenge anyone to find any customer of mine that was not 100% satisfied with my services. As far as I know everyone I have ever tuned for got alot more than they expected. I used to have an awesome vouch thread here on HT until the mods deleted it because I wouldn't give them money. They told me I was a "commercial user" and if I wanted any thread promoting my services I had to pay to become a sponsor. Even the line in my signature about me tuning cars had to be authorized. I used to have it in big letters and in bright red and they locked my signature until I made it look how it looks now.

Please... If any of my customers (or anyone that has ever met me) have any problem with me or my services feel free to chime in and talk all the sh*t you want about me.

To the OP... Sorry about the semi-thread jack

hey np, if this thread helps you become a neptune dealer, you can rant and rave all you want.
like hr tuning said, there just arent more neptune dealers because they think they're fine with crome or wahtever they're already using. so if a neptune dealer opens up in LA, i can garuntee they'd have atleast one more costumer.
anyone else in LA care to chime in on if you'd switch to neptune if it was available here?

Tomdata, it wasn't a personal attack, sorry if you took it that way. Most tuners started out the same way as you, myself included (although I started tuning cars with Hondata and Zdyne, as there was no freeware stuff). The point was, if you are charging money for tuning, you add the neptune dealer fee on top of the price, and if you tune more than a few cars a month, it will pay for itself in time and money.

By only offering to tune Crome because it was almost free, you are shortchanging yourself, and your customers by not being able to fulfill all of their needs, especially the turbo guys that want gear based PWM boost control support.

On that note, your business would increase significantly since there are no other Neptune tuners in your area.
