Default plastic to metal, or aluminum

Ok so I don't know if anyone has ever wanted to do this but I thought about it and I thought that maybe some people would want to do this. Metal, aluminum, billet interior parts for the door like the door opener handle and lock and the little plastic panel behind it or the door handle and power window switch panel. Has any one else wanted to do this or know anyone who has done this? If so where did u get the parts from been looking on and off for a few months (I'm in the process of doing the manual to power doors for my 96)

I think he means actually machining parts out of metal. Ive never seen it, it would take a lot of custom design and prob be expensive.
