it's baaaaaaaaaaaack!
Just picked up my car from the bodyshop this past Thursday, put my interior back in Friday, then washed the car and repainted the wheels Saturday. Woohoo!!!!
Car looks great, and I also got a whole bunch of spare parts from my old door and the used door they put on there. I have an intact window glass from the used door, the used door's original door panel (from an LS Integra), door latch, lock, exterior and interior handles, window and door switches, mechanism rods, power door lock brain, window tracks, and a whole slew of bolts and trim connectors. I'm not sure if I want to keep the stuff for spare parts or sell it. If anybody needs any door parts, PM me.
The only issue right now is the new window glass, which I specified and the insurance paid for factory OEM new Honda glass. However the bodyshop put in some aftermarket imitation, and reflections in the glass are extremely wavy. I'm going to have to call them back about that.
Anyway here's the only pic I have right now, I'm going to wash it again tomorrow I think, and take some more pics:

Re: it's baaaaaaaaaaaack! (sutrusu)
yeah I did, I registered on HAN a couple weeks before I actually bought my car. I didn't register here until about 7 months later.
You bet I got it done quick, it happened on a Saturday, dropped the car off at the shop the following Monday, then picked it up on Thursday of the following week. No other pics yet, I'll take more tomorrow after I wash it again. I just drove back down to school this morning so it's quite dirty again.
Oh I wanted to get my hood and bumper painted, but that was $150 that I didn't have (and that's w/ me taking the bumper off myself). I also asked about shaving the wing holes, and he told me about 3 bills to do it right and have it look like factory (meaning finished on both sides of the hole, since you can see the undersides of the wing holes when the hatch is open).
I did end up getting a few dents on that side of the car fixed for an extra $50, namely the HUGE creased dent over my rear tire, and also an "outie" dent on my fender near the sidemarker, which came from me trying to knock a dent out and knocking too far.

Looks good as new to me. It's a good thing you got it done quick too. Alot of people get screwed by insurance companies and accidents the size of yours can take weeks or even months. But i think i remember you saying something about using Progressive. Those guys rock!!! Anyways im glad you got your car back on the road so fast and im with Sutrusu when he said to keep posting pics of your car.

the paint look wavy on the door and not enough gloss.
its the quality of the clear coat they use, looks like some cheap brand..
plus when the car is oven dried, the clear coat drys thinner, so it shines more.. not all dual like that clear coat haha
how much it cost you? bet you paid alot

More pics from the side.
More pics from the side.
I made another thread w/ more pics after I washed it Tuesday... damn pollen has already coated my car and made it look nasty

and yes Ashley, I was on HAN, but I haven't been there in forever, I just kinda lost interest I guess.
*edit* The work cost the other guy's insurance about $1900, which is for a used door refinished to my color, new mirror, new glass, and new door panel, plus paint and labor etc. etc.
goes to whoever can guess the original color of the door that's on my car now

Ahh, an excuse for patrick to post pictures of his car
Looks great as usual. Looks like they did a nice job on the replacement, you can't tell it is not original from that first pic
