Door Lock
I know its been covered, yes I've searched.
What I'd like to know is if anyone has a way to remove this stupid anti-idiot feature. All the threads I've found just determine that it's a feature, not how to disable it. I'm on my 3rd honda, and I've loathed it on each car.
I'm so close to ripping the damn door apart just to jury-rig it. It was bearable on my last two manual-lock cars (pull+lock with one hand), but with power, its just retarded. Thanks, and if it is out there, sorry my first 6 searches & 50+ threads I read didn't give me the answer. I don't hate the designers, I hate the idiots they felt they should accomidate.

Re: Door Lock (HiProfile)
You have to take out your lock mechanism from the door, Thers a pice of plastic or metal that prevents it from locking with the handle break that piece off and your set to go. I wouldent do it however but if you want to go for it.

Re: Door Lock (nocturnaldragon)
Thanks, I figured that was the case. I'll be doing it soon seeing as the only time my keys were locked in my car was 6yrs ago - it fell off the keychain I'll definately be taking pictures and posting them.
I doubt it will have any negative points to it, since it becomes habit to pull+lock anyways, and most new civic owners just think thier lock is broke.
