When i pulled the door panels off their was this caulk stuff around the inside of the door, how do i get that off easy?

When I swapped power parts into my doors I had to take off that adhesive so I could replace the plastic rain guard and I pretty much just cut it and then pulled it outward and a lot of it came off like that since it tends to hold together pretty well but there were some parts that I had to push the sides of it to roll it off the door.
It's difficult but I don't know of any other way to do it.
