93 cx LS bad cold start
ok its a 93 cx with an obd0 converted obd1 LS motor... i am running the wrong ecu i know i need to get the one for an LS right now i am using a dx ecu... but i am throwing code 6 coolant temp sensor and code 10 intake air temp sensor.
when the car is completely cold (first thing in the morning) it bogs out.. i will crank it, it starts then it will die. i have to start the car a couple times and let it idle out till its running kind of smooth.
when the car warms up it runs fine other then the Cel's that i mentioned being on. and when i say warm up i mean when its gets to operating temp the car stops bogging and drives fine.
i have never had either of these sensors go bad on me on a honda before. i am just curious as to if these are the cause of my cold start issues. i imagine that the coolant temp sensor is making the car think its over heating or what ever so it is just dumping fuel in the car (smells rich when cold) so it bogs out.
anyone have any insight?
oh an i will have the right ecu this weekend... i already know its no good. keep the neg. comments to your self

i tested the sensors last night.. the IAT is an open circuit so fail/replace. and the ECT is reading like 0.890 - 0.980 and its supposed to be .400 something thru .500 i believe. i remember it was alot higher then its supposed to be. so fail/replace
I think you will see a major improvement by replacing those bad sensors.
lol probably not. not with the rate it has gone in the past year or so.
no body wants to help anyone any more. everyone just flames and flames. or they look at a thread and if they don't know the answer they act like they do and tell the OP to search.
lol i think it's kind of funny though i think this question right here is too technical for alot of people on here. thanks tho Ron.. i am getting off work now i am going to go throw those sensors in and see what happens. my ecu should be here pretty soon too.

okay... soo i replaced both sensors still throwing codes after trying to reset the codes a million different times.
also the car is in limp mode now and running absolutely terrible.
we measured the current off the lead on the IAT and its 0v
then measured the current off the lead on the ECT and its 12v
its supposed to be 5v right?
i checked compression on the motor as well (the car really feels like its running on 3 cyl) and compression is fine on all 4 cyl.
we also checked the wiring from the IAT to the harness connector that leads to the cabin and that part was good. today i am going to check the wiring from the ecu clip.
does any one have a break down on the pinout for my car?
and does anyone have any ideas what else i could be looking for. my obd1 pr4 should be coming in tomorrow. i am just trying to sort out what issues i am having before i plug in the ecu. i think my best bet though for the IAT power wire that has no power is to just run a new wire up to it and same with that 12v wire thats running to the ect.
ugh seriously electrical ecu problems FTL.
anyone care to chime in. my head hurts from trying to figure this thing out.

ryan-
the car ran fine till the other day other then the cold start issues... i believe my problem is a little bit bigger then just an ecu even though i am sure that its not helping having a d15b7 ecu running the LS...
but i will the ecu will be here tomorrow. i still want to figure out why my voltage reading to those sensors isn't where its supposed to be. I guess i am just afraid if i plug in a new ECM i am going to fuxor it.
thanks though
