I am having hell finding the “remote” wire from the stereo or chassis to plug into my sony amp I just purchased.

Does anyone know where it is located or what I need to do?

I got mine installed by a local audio shop. They jumpered off my factory 6-Disc changer. It was a lot closer and eaiser to hook up. If you dont have the changer, I dont have a clue. , sorry

 

You mean the remote power on wire??? Or the remote control jobby?

do you have an aftermarket headunit? or is it stock?

 

I have a Kenwood unit (the one that changes colors, plays MP3s).

 

well if you bought an aftermarket harness to plug into your stock harness, your remote wire should be the blue wire.

 

if you are using the factory HU, you can always use the ignition wire to turn the amp on.

 

on the kenwood deck....look for a blue/white trace wire..this is the amp turn on ( or you could look at the owners manual its listed there...oh wait I forgot people don't read manuals)....J/K just pulling ya chain. Hope this helps.
