It seems to be turning over okay, just wont start up. Maybe a little fast. The check engine light is off, but in the past when driving has come on. Is there an easy way I can check the spark?
I have changed over the spark plugs with new ones, there was petrol on one of the plugs, and all look woren out, still not starting tho.
I am going to try jump start it, but I am pretty sure it isn't the battery.

I would start with the fuel pump. Have someone hit the tank with a rubber mallet while you crank the engine.
To check for spark, take out a plug, plug it into the wire, lay the plug on a metal part of the engine, and crank the engine, you should see spark.
If no spark check cap, rotor, coil. Visually inspect the wires for physical damage, especially the one connecting the coil to the distributor (if the coil is on the outside of the distributor, some cars have it inside, not sure about yours)
Check engine light should be on with the key on engine off, if not you may have a faulty computer.
