I have a 2000 honda civic dx i put a new motor (D16y7) long block. Now it wont turn on. I know this, the engine will crank but there is no spark going to the spark plugs, i bought new spark plug & i have it gaped right, i got a new disturtor. Thats all i could think, i know their isnt any sparks in the spark plug & gas does go in it but it wont turn on. Can someone please help?

Is your engine harness completely plugged up? From passenger to driver side?

yes everything is plugged up i keep looking to see if i am missing any plugs

First, turning on makes it sound like nothing happens when you turn the key to "On". You should be more specific when describing the problems for us. A better discription would be "Engine turns over, but wont start/fire"

Second, have you checked spark with a spare spark plug, or Noid light? (a timing light can help here, but still not as for sure as the other two)

How are you sure its getting gas? Does the fuel pump prime when the ignition key is "on" (see why that matters? lol)

If it has no spark, then check the wires and connection to the distributor.

I had to reread the OP and notice you said there was gas, where did you verify that there was constant gas flow?

Is the ecu fuse blown?

Yes with the fuel pump priming and what about the CEL? Is it on? Check dem fuses
