Default Poor Mans B stroker?

So I was playing with the zealsports compression calculator and I noticed that If I ran a B18 A/B crankshaft with my GSR rods and my USDM ITR pistons then I would have approximately a 12.4:1 CR. Is that actually a feasable option? What problem might I have if I attempt this?

What about piston to deck height? I already know the answer, you need to find yours.

Side rod clearance may be a little lose, but who knows.

It's all good as long as he uses K-series bearings right?

On a serious note, OP, here's a thread my buddy started, since then his and my build are both running the ls internals in gsr blocks. There's a bit more power but it may also be because we bored our blocks a bit also. 82mm bore plus the LS crank makes a gsr build close to a 1.9L.

Answer this question: Why do you think you need more compression? If it is because you want to run the pro2 cams than you havent been listening.

If you want to run the ls crank use the ls rods and replace the stock rod bolts with arp rod bolts.

Curiosity.....Simply wanted to know. If it was a simple swap then I may consider, if its a pain and may cause problems then Im going to continue to use my current set up. Isnt a forum used to ask and answer questions. I had a simple question and was looking for a simple answer. Sorry if I pulled you guys off your high honda horses to answer a simple honda question on this honda forum.........Sorry to interupt your busy busy day

if you really want to add stroke using factory/inexspensive parts look into like a 88 prelude carburated crank with b16 rods. some one on h-t posted about it in the long rod vs short rod thread

Well it depends what you consider simple.

To those familiar with disassembly/assembly of these motors it is.

Ls crank/rods w/arp rod bolts, resize the big end, and piston choice. Bend or block the squirters.

Measure twice and assemble.

So its really not to bad, but could be a little more than I want to attemp right now. Ive build a few B engines, but it was about 4 years ago so I'm a little rusty. Thanks for the good, useful responses!

Im sorry. I just read it as "Im not going to do it anyway", so I was curious as to why youd even bother posting. Seems like a waste of time.

If you built a few B-series engines 4 years ago, you shouldnt have forgotten how to do it. Engine building should take you long enough to learn that it doesnt fade away in 4 years. All the stuff listed by ef1.8 is nothing more than simple engine building, nothing you couldnt do if you have done it before as stated.
