one works fine but the other only works when i have the brights on, does any one else think this is the relay. or something else

Could just be the bubls low filament no ? Did you check the wires to make sure one isnt loose and shorting out ?

 

have you tried replacing the bulb

 

I have the same problem and I just put a new bulb in.

 

That's what happens when one filament of your dual filament bulbs burns out. Replace the bulb.

The bulb is brand new but the problem still persists.

 

check your fuse mate, mighta just blown one i did the other day and my left light did the same thing

 

when you say the bulb is brand new, do you mean you've replaced it since this problem started? if not change it again.

 

try switching the bulbs from the other side if it does the same thing check the fuses. did you loosen the ground on that side for any reason?

 

Yeah, brand new bulb from the parts store. It's been tested and it functions properly.

There's a fuse for low beam AND high beam? Where's the fuse? Under the dash or the hood?

 

should be with all the other fuses.

 

You do know there are fuses under the hood as well along with various relays too, right? Anyway, it turned out to be a 10 amp fuse in the under DASH fuse block. I never knew there was a fuse for the high AND low beams. Learn something new every day lol.

 

thats weird. i never heard of that but recently my friend had the same problem.
