Default Bosch 044 inline pump mounting? Lets see yours.

Well since the *search* engine here apparently does not work very well anymore I dont know if this is a topic thats been covered previously.

I am curious how people are mounting their inline Bosch 044 pumps when using it in conjunction with a walbro intank or something similar.

Please post up ANY pics you have or have seen... just curious how everyone has done them?

Even though its not a Bosch but an inline 255hp you get the idea, I used what I had laying around the garage....

Probably not the best place in the world for it but that wasnt my permanent setup so it served its purpose, and it didnt hang down below the car. I used a strip of AL and bent it into an U shape and then used a plumbing fernco and some clamps and screwed it to the chassis. There is really no room under the car and since I dont run a sump I didnt want to run 5 additional feet to the spare tire area from the stock supply at the top of the tank, just to run 10' or so back to the front.

Wow.

Wasn't there just a recent thread with a bunch of pictures in it along this topic line?

Mounted mine on the pass. side frame rail with a clamp. Running a 255walbro in-tank and a 044 bosch under the hood, after the stock fuel filter. Its at the tuners at the moment, so we will see how its gonna work out.

WOW, if the search did not bite a dick now (which is frustrating as all hell) I could have probably found a few short of running back through pages of old posts here. Although the link you post I have seen thank you, but I am more curious about people using it on NON-SUMPED tanks. Hence the inline and using a walbro intank part of my post.

I see alot of discussion in other posts about it but little in the way of pictures or whatnot final mounting for people using them inline with a walbro and stock lines. I have mine pretty much done but before I finalized where its mounted I was looking to see what brackets and if anyone had anything that gives me ideas for improvements on my location.

Thanks so far though.

Yo SOn!

Walbro255HP in tank. Modified the OEM pump mount to have -6 through the top...-6 line from tank to 044, -6 from 044 to rail, stock return.... I made 620WHP on STOCK *** lines with JUST the 255HP. Looking for 700 this time around. The Walbro will feed plenty (as it wont have to make pressure, flow will increase markedly) to let the 044 do its thing. Ive talked to Tony about it as well...

Im going to run a 60 pound base pressure and see where I get.

I was a tad concernes about the stock return, but Im going to see what happens, and If I have any issues then ill swap to the OEM feed for the return. I think its going to be just fine though.

Its got 2 more opf the big *** zip ties now that its final fitted.. Never had an issue before, so I saw no need to change it.

Stock lines are fine, you can even run a stock pump in the tank and run the boach between the fuel rail and fuel filter or drop a walbro 255 in the tank and the bosch up between rail and filter. the walbro with the bosch will support over 700whp on stock lines

For those interested we are getting some really nice bosch 044 fuel pump brackets. We should have them in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the input so far. Feel free to post up any brackets you know of if you want might as well add it to this thread.

extralargenog: Whats up meng, yeah I am a tad concerned with my stock return getting it done as well but we shall see. I am running the 255 hp intank, stock lines forward, change over to -6 off the filter, -6 to the 044, -6 from the 044 to the rail, etc. Then the weldon regulator/ ID 1000's (thanks TONY!)... should get it done for my sohc. We shall see when I get it back down to T1 for the retune with the new parts.

I have my pump tentatively on the lower part of the firewall below the intake manifold but I am not liking it and have to think there is a better position. Thats why I made this thread, OCD owns me.

I already have everything to do just this setup, in fact I have it all on the car already. I am just looking for actual pictures of some of these setups where they put the pump inline or whatnot as I said previously to come up with ideas for better mounting positions, brackets, etc... that may be better than what I have layed out so far.
