hey, i use to have a 94 hatch with a stock cx motor, but after a while my cousin help me swap a 96 d16y8 into it. long story short, my brother blew it and i sold the car, but now i picked up another one same year with a y8, i opened the hood and there are wires all over. I looked at the injector plugs and they seemed to be obd2 plugs, but to the ecu it's obd1, so i'm confused?it laged in power too, the two piece header had a leak but i bolted it up and felt more power, plus i am using the same p28 from the previous hatch. So as of now i am lost, also the gears are so long, i figured it's not a y8 tranny but a y7 tranny, cause my old tranny is a lot shorter and it came complete with everything.

did they do the harness conversion to obd2?

 

Does it say d16y8 on the block? Tranny could be a DX. Sounds like maybe the car is chipped.
