It will suck in majority warm air, but if you need something quick it'd work.

... Now let's have a talk about that valve cover breather filter.

ive seen it before.

not a bad idea, just a preference thing.

like the previous dude said, itll give you warmer air.

Won't hurt it. Also depends if you have cams. It could help. I don't see too many people do it though. It's common place in forced induction, but NA is different.
