Passing NYS inspection with jdm motor/ecu, obd2
i have a 2000 civic with a jdm b18c. I have the p73 itr ecu but it is obd2a and my civic is obd2b. Can i use this ecu with a conversion harness to pass inspection? I cant use my usdm bseries ecu because the car wont run due to the lack of crank angle sensor.
I was also thinking of using a 99/00 CTR ecu as this is obd2b.
Any inputs?

Im pretty sure you can use your jumper to OBD2A as long as the computer reads OBD2 it shouldn't matter so long as theres no CEL's....
I have a similar problem here in Mass. I believe that we now have the same inspection system as you guys in NY + NJ...The Federal Government Took that over i though...? But none the less i have an "01" Type-R w/an H2B and i have all the emmisions **** ripped out and evap **** ripped out...so even if i use the stock Type-R computer it will throw a CEL and ill fail....I Normally run OBD1 S300...but im in the same situation you are inspection wise and dont know what im supposed to do ....any help would be appreciated..!

FYI you cannot run a JDM ecu for NYS inspection it will not communicate with diagnostic port.
MassScene your kinda screwed youll prolly have to something like what mrgsr said.
