Default New Yorkers: Passing inspection with JDM motor/ecu obd2

i have a 2000 civic with a jdm b18c. I have the p73 itr ecu but it is obd2a and my civic is obd2b. Can i use this ecu with a conversion harness to pass inspection? I cant use my usdm bseries ecu because the car wont run due to the lack of crank angle sensor.

I was also thinking of using a 99/00 CTR ecu as this is obd2b. Will the car run properly with the ctr ecu?

Any inputs?

In regards to the non existant CKF sensor simply perform the CKF fix to trick your USDM ECU into believing its there ---> http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm

*If* you are using an OBD2B USDM Integra ECU You will need to move pin A16 to A15 at the ECU and have the immobilizer removed and replaced with a dummy unit to prevent a CEL (H-T user Katman has a service where he will remove the immobilizer, PM him for more info). If NY plugs into the Diagnostic port for inspection you need a USDM ECU, as JDM OBD2 ECUs wont communicate with the diagnostic port.

Will the lack of ckf sensor prevent the car from starting with stock civic si ecu?

Also can he use the jdm distributor with the obd2b harness or does he need the obd2b dizzy as well?

Trying to get this guys car on the road

So far as I know it wont prevent it from starting, but it will run like crap apparently. Simply perform the CKF fix to elimate the problem.

Yes, although if its anything but a '99 - '00 Si engine harness you will have to swap the distributor plug on the harness ('99 - '00 SOHC civics [except HX coupes] use a different small style distributor plug)
