Have a buddy with a street tuned b7, running a Egay kit. He is running 8 pounds and the car runs very good and it is quick. The kit is a pain in the ***, and most of the parts are crap(downpipe flange, bov, wastegate, drain line, boost controller)

They are all different. A cast is going to hold up better than a stainless, depending on the quality/company. The cast will be good for low/mid range power and the stainless(ramhorn style) will be good for more mid/high end power. To each his own...depends on your goals and the size of your wallet.

im boosting 9 lbs on my ALMOST bone stock b7 if u buy a turbo kit just make sure you dont forget your engine management. none of the FMU, or missing link junk. throw on a manual y8 intake manifold and d16a6 cam with y8 cam gear and there you go you have a "cam"

just took out my d15b7 with over 250,000 miles on it...i was running 10psi on a greddy kit with a basemapped ecu from j-k-tuning (no reason to get a junk motor tuned) all i had in it were head studs and a 3 layer metal head gasket...coulda have easily been a low 14 second car but with my slipping clutch the best time i could get was 14.5@96...now im swapping in a z6 and hoping with an actual tune to be in the mid to low 13s...next year vitaras and eagle rods for some nice power

Hello... i also have a D15b7(92') engine on my 95' civic coupe 110k on it... I am on a low budget to get a complete turbo kit, Just like txej8 49 said ebay kits are crap w/c i believe. Cause i am on a low budget cany get a full turbo kit from greddy... I was thinking to buy parts by parts , my question is what are the basic or i meant the major parts i should buy first like from A-Z parts down to the last parts like pipings, clamps bushing etc. Please help me out whats first to buy. please make a breakdown and hopefully suggest me a part that are reasonable on my D15b7... that atleast will be fast enough in the street (180-200 whp?)

Makes no difference. Click the link in my sig. There are no basic parts. All parts in a "kit" are necessary items.

hell, if you're only running 5 or so lbs of boost then i would just piece a kit together myself. with that amount of boost you're gonna want to run a smaller turbo that will spool quicky such as a small garrett, or one from a junkyard. as far as i know, most of the mitsubishi's that came turboed from the factory have pretty small turbos.

as far as the manifold and wastegate are concerned, check goautoworks like apexi said. you can get an intercooler off egay for pretty cheap and from what i've heard they aren't too horrible. blow off valve is up to you, there's all kinds, and then get a tune. crome, hondata or whatever. as far as the piping goes, a muffler/exhaust shop should be able to get you everything you need for pretty cheap.

and there you go. a cheap set up that with the right tune will make the power you're lookin for. good luck new guy.

idk if i'd advise running a 55-75 pound shot man lol. if you're gonna spray that much without building you're motor then don't spray all the time or else you're gonna fry some **** like paul on the 1st fast and the furious lol. also, piecing together a kit like i was talking about, and gettin it tuned and all the piping done is still gonna be cheaper and probably make about the same power as a b16 or b18 haha.
