all motor pissed me off too.
its good if you got 5.7L of displacement, but we dont.
you can get a greddy kit and intercooler with some goodies for around $3100. but people here will tell you to get other kits etc.

greddy.
best quality kit. turbo is sized for good response and decent power. other larger turbos will give more peak horsepower but there arent any kits with larger turbos on par with the greddy.

i would suggest greddy for low to mild applications. I have the greddy kit and love it and i am only @5 psi. I plan to up the boost to ~10psi later. I dont need outragous power on the road as it is only a street car and my daily driven car. I dont plan to build my engine any just stock so the greddy turbo is fine with me.
As for what else you need, you might want to look into a fuel management system like AEM EMS, Hondata, or something lower like the VAFC hack. The blue box is nice, but if you want to go to 10psi i suggest you get something to tune with. Also a fuel pump and bigger injectors maybe needed and a boost controller to up the boost.

Didnt know you could run just 5psi! Thats perfect cuz my car would be a daily driver for a while as well... Then Id up the boost later when I wanted to..
The blue box is optional right?? Id definitely go with bigger injectors. And probably go with hondata, since Im coming from a former all motor junkie background!!!

the blue box comes with the greddy kit, and will be adequate for getting you on the road and daily driving.
