Default 89 Honda CRX - BOV doesn't work?!?

Hey, I have a 89 honda crx with a td04h turbo. I got my BOV in today, it's an exact look alike of the GReddy Type S BOV. I hooked it all up and I believe I ran the correct hoses everywhere and whenever I shift now all I still here is turbo surge...any ideas?

I've also tweaked the screw on the top a bit also to see if that was the issue, but still nothing. I turned it to soft, nothing, turned it a bit more, nothing, then turned it to hard, and the same thing...nothing! I'm really hoping someone can help me out here.

so you had a bov before yes? if all you did was swap one out for another their's no reason why it shouldn't work. i do know if you don't run the vaccum for the bov directly off of the intake manifold you may encounter surging problems. as in the vaccum for the bov should not be T'd into another vaccum line going to something else if at all possible. it is also possible i suppose that the knockoff bov was doa on arrival and no tweaking is going to fix that.

what psi does the gauge show the turbo spools to?
what vacuum does the gauge show the engine provides under decel?

make sure the vacuum line is between the throttle body and the head.

There is also a very large chance that you purchased a faulty egay bov which ocurrs all the time..IMO grab the real deal products that have been proven and tested

open the bov and remove the large spring. leave the small one in it.

okay, so the first picture is showing where i t'd the vaccum line into...it's the dark blue hose. the second one is showing the back of the BOV, i was told that the top one was for vaccum and the bottom one was for pressure, and someone also told me to 'T' into the wastegate line for the pressure one. And whoever asked if I was replacing my other BOV, no. This is my first BOV.

easy solution take it off and throw it away.
My intercooler kit came with that POS and it wouldn't work even after removing one of the springs. I bought the really deal and it works great.
