Hello, i have a 2 step setup and i do not build boost while holding the rpm's at 4500(b16, ball bearing turbo). Anyone know why?

 

Are you confusing a 2 step with anti-lag?

 

yeah thats what I was gonna say too.. You can rev it all day with no load on the motor and it wont build boost.. now anti-lag is another story..

 

Most ECU code for 2-step (on a Honda) will limit RPM by fuel cut. At that point, your motor is simply blowing warm air into the turbine - not enough to do anything. If it works by ignition cut it will help make some boost; with anti-lag, it will build a ton. Anti-lag is when your ECU retards the timing to a crazy extent, and dumps in 25-50% more fuel than needed. That burns the fuel as it enters the turbo; push exploding gasoline into a turbine, and it spins it like hell.

 

Dont know what size turbo you got, but 4500rpm with a B16 is not going to build much if any boost.
