Icon6 Do i have a P28?

I just bought a ecu from someone with a hondata unit. The ecu i bought the guy said came from a stock 93 si. The bar code was scratched off in the middle. The only numbers i have are 37820- then rest is scratched off. The bottom line says 740-512 and has in big letters APX. Is there any way to look inside ecu to see diagram to see if this is a manual P28?

thanks...

Open the cover and look for another sticker with the part number near the connector.

Why would a so-called Hondata dealer scratch out the Honda P/N on the ecu? That doesn't sound right.

ok thanks i found the other barcode the first line says 37820-P06-A00 the second line says 740-512933 3A06 .. Does this mean i have a P06? How can i tell if its manual or not? I was reading you can make the P06 a P28? Anyone help with that? thanks.

The guy scratched off the number because he is a D-bag and he was trying to hide the fact that it’s not a "real" P28, but it doesn’t matter. If it really has Hondata then it is most likely already manual and converted to VTEC, which is now just about identical to a P28.

Take a decent resolution picture of the board and post it here. PM me when done, and I'll tell you what you have.
