B16 sleeve Kit
No, yes, sort of.
Depends on what you're building; sleeving a block will make it durable. It won't make it invincible.
Whether or not you need to sleeve depends on your bore size, the power goals you're looking at, and general condition of the block.
Pistons change compression ratio (and size if bore changes).

ill probably use the stock bore if ran 4-6 lbs of boost would i have to even worry about sleevin it or can the i believe 11:0 ratio handle that minimal power with not many worries>>>not gunna go crazy or ne thing cause if i brake it itll take me to long to fix it...but thats ways down the road ne way just wonderin for future upgrade purposes
its all in your tune. if you just want a low boost setup on high compression it'll be fine. make sure your tuner knows its a high comp motor and he'll properly tune it for you.
You should probably talk to a shop too because it doesn't sound like you know a whole lot about building engines. There is no "sleeve kit", you have your old sleeves machined out and new ones pressed in. It's not as simple as getting a new "stage" like in Need For Speed Underground or something like that.
excuse me for using the wrong terminology...i kno they have to be pressed in....and no im a rookie in builds like this so excuse me for askin question to get to the right answers
You're "no rookie" to builds like this yet you asked:
"does putting the sleeve kit on the b16a1 eliminate the need for low compression pistons for boost purposes?"
Do you even know WHY people put in forged, low compression pistons in turbo engines?

no i dont kno why they do that....i was just askin....i apologize to you tho just for the simple fact that im not as knowledable as you one day ill kno as much as you...but until than ill do better resaerch and not ask such rediculous questions and upset certain people on the forums(not bein sarcastic)...simply i just wanna have all that kind of information so i can better myself in persuin my career in this industry otherwise ill never make it.....but if i had to take a guess im assuming they put forged pistons for durability purposes.....i can take **** apart and put it back together no problem but what i lack is why everything does what it does and the benefits of doin so....SO IF YOU COULD STOP BEIN A ******** THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC
getting the block sleeved to eliminate forged low comp pistons is pointless. your in the same boat for blowing your motor up with high boost. the stock internals will go before the stock sleeves. stock bore sleeves can really take a beating. with my experience i think around 10:1 is an awesome ratio for boost sleeved or not.
i was thinkin the same thing either way i wasnt gunna run ne thing over 5 or 6 lbs of boost ne way just somethin to give it alittle more with a decent suspension upgrade drag radials or slicks im lookin to build mine into the 12's in the quarter....with just the swap im lookin at mid 14's i belive cause my buddy has an EG with a b18 type R all stock motor wise but has hondata on it with VTEC around 5200 and hes reving out at 8900 is runnin 13.9...all in time of course ill have it done but all in all im lookin to have the swap done by the summer ne ways
hmmm, i think if you wanna run 12's your gonna have to run a little more boost than 5 lbs. ha. a stock b16 on 5 lbs in a hatch i think would maybe be around low 13's.
