I have a 1999 Civic DX, the car stop running yesterday for my wife. 10 minutes later I arrived on the scene and the car started with no problem. Check engine light was on and took it for a scan today. Four items showed up.

0500 VSS [Speed Sensor]
1298 Electrical Load Detector High Input
0135 O2 Sensor 1/1
00141 O2 Senor 1/2

I drove the car home from the garage and the electrical started going haywire. Radio stopped working, heater fan stopped working, started loosing compression. I pulled over and turned off the headlights and got power back and was able to get home. Any ideas???

 

Alternator fuse.

Are you referring to the Alternator SP Sensor (interior fusebox) or is there a fuse on the alternator itself?
