So my alternator died over the weekend and I replaced it sunday. Everything was fine but right b4 the alternator dies the speedo and tach stopped working. also the check engine light came on and stayed on b4 the alternator died. I pulled the codes and they are 16(speed sensor), 20(electrical load sensor, 41(primary o2 sensor heater), and 65(secondary o2 sensor heater). How the hell can all four of these fail at once? anyone every have anything like this happen b4? Any tips or advice would be appreciated b4 I go and buy all new parts. thanks in advance

There's an alternator/VSS fuse under the dash, make sure it isn't out. When mine was out my speedo would only work sporadically, my battery kept dying, and it also threw the ELD code. Went threw 3 batteries and swapped alternators twice before I found the fuse.

 

when the alternator is putting out really low voltage, it can set off all sorts of codes for different systems. just clear them and see if they come back
