Hey guys/gals, while at a stop my CEL light stays on and once i start accelerating the CEL shuts off and then turns back on when i stop again most of the time. Today i pulled the two pin wiring part to check my codes and when i jump the two together and then turn the key to the ON position the CEL light just stays on and doesn't blink for me to diagnose it? Anyway i could be doing something wrong or any opinions on what could be wrong. It's a b18c5 in a 94 eg. Thanks

not sure why it comes and goes when you stop and go, but you may want to check grounds and connections.

 

grounds and connections are checked and good, I don't think that would cause the lack in being able to pull a code though would it?

 

There could be something wrong with the ECU. My old ECU was messed up and would randomly throw a CEL and put the car in limp mode. If I shut the car off, the CEL would go away and I would not be able to pull the code. I replaced the ECU and it hasn't done it since.
