Default CEL code. Eg throwing a A/T code when its a 5spd. Help

Okay some help here. I checked my cel's and either I'm throwing a code 29 ( which to my knowledge there isn't such) or a code 10 and 19....

I know what ten is, but my car is a manual and its thowing a auto lock up control solenoid valve code, which is 19.

Any advice? I'm confused

I can't cuz the car isn't here but I can tomorrow around this time. Hmmm that would make since though cuz its a z6 swap from a 95 ex and the tranny is from a si. Thats probably why the guy switched tranny's was cuz the one on the z6 was a auto.

Was the car originally an automatic? The manual SI tranny (and motor) are the same as the EX manual tranny (and motor.) This sounds like either the ECU is from an auto, or the car was converted to manual but the previous owner never swapped the auto ECU for a manual ECU out of convienience (since he already they it.)

I don't think so b/c don't you have to modify alot of things to convert it? And I'll check to see if its a auto ecu today, thanks guys!

Its not really a lot of stuff to do, a few wires, the pedal setup, and a mount. If the previous owner swapped the EX tranny for an SI one thinking they were going to benifit from it, they were very wrong because the SI and EX trannys are the same.

But it had the original cluster that didn't have the light tree that tells what gear your in.. Therefore the car had to of been manual. I'm guessing he took the motor from a ex civic w/ a auto tranny and the ecu, and took a si/ ex manual tranny from another car.

If thats the case then definatley swap out that ecu with one from a manual car and give it a shot.

To convert my auto ecu to manual ecu, it took about 5 minutes. It is extremely easy if you now how to use a soldering iron a bit. I'll post the link to the guide if I can find it.
