I believe it will throw a code. Automatics have more sensors for the ecu to read than a car with a manual trans.

I'm running an auto ecu(p75) in my manual EG with b18b. No code whatsoever. Only problem that I could really feel is that the redline comes in sooner for an auto ecu.

you cannot run an auto ecu in a manual car without it pulling a code for the automatic lock up solenoid which is code 19. You must have a manual ecu

Im not picking up any code at all with an auto ecu. It's possible.
